The Innova FD in Champion plastic, sold here as Dark Rebel, is a straight flying stable fairway driver that started life as a Discmania mold. Innova kept the rights to the FD when Discmania stopped producing discs with them, so this is the same disc long time Discmania Originals fans know as the FD. Champion is Innova's clearest, most durable plastic, and it holds this disc's stability longer than any of the softer blends.

Champion plastic is firm and a little slick fresh out of the package, with less grip than Star but noticeably more durability. It shrugs off tree hits on tunnel shots without chunking, which matters on a control driver you are throwing into gaps on purpose. Expect it to hold a stable, predictable flight for a long time before it starts to soften up.

Release it flat and it holds a straight line with a light, dependable fade at the finish rather than a hard dump. It is an easy fairway driver to learn on since a slightly off hyzer or anhyzer release will not send it too far off course. Newer players get a forgiving, straight flying option for their first fairway driver, and more experienced players use it for tight tunnel shots where a flippier disc would turn over too far.
