    Discmania Link Review

The versatile Link is a flat-topped beaded putter with neutral flight characteristics. This beginner-friendly disc is one of the straightest fliers we have in stock. It has a gentle yet reliable hyzer fade on drives and approaches. This Discmania Link review will help you decide which Link for sale is right for you.

    Discmania Link Plastics

The Link is part of Discmania's "Evolution" line. This collection is manufactured in the Swedish company Latitude 64's facilities. Since they are all produced at the same facility, the Evolution plastics will share qualities with those from Latitude 64, Dynamic Discs, and Westside Discs.

    • Exo: Tacky baseline plastic that comes in Hard, Soft, and Extra Soft varieties. This is the least durable blend, but the outstanding grip makes it the most popular option for putting.
    • Neo: A durable premium plastic that maintains a soft feel with some flexibility. It has a slightly slick texture and a semi-translucent look.
    • Lux: A stiff, durable blend that is perfect for a throwing putter. Discs will fly more overstable and maintain their original flight characteristics longer in this plastic.
    • Vapor: A swirly color-burst style that comes in Exo and Lux plastic. This cosmetic difference does not affect feel or performance.

    Discmania Link Flight Numbers

    • Speed: 2
    • Glide: 3
    • Turn: 0
    • Fade: 1

These specs are standard for a neutral "point-and-shoot" putter. The popular Discmania P2 and Innova Aviar have identical flight numbers. Like those famous molds, the Link has the stability to hold a gentle hyzer line with moderate speed and will get a bit of flip when thrown with full power. The Link will hold most any line you put it on and finish with a gentle hyzer fade.

    Dimensions

    • Diameter: 21.2cm
    • Height: 1.9cm
    • Rim Depth: 1.5cm
    • Rim Width: 1.0cm

The Link's low profile and flat top give it a relatively shallow hand feel. This shape leads to a comfortable grip for drives and approaches, particularly for players with smaller hands. The bead on the bottom of the rim is not huge, but it is very noticeable in the putting grip.

    History

The Link debuted in 2019 as the third disc in the "Evolution" line. Discmania partners with Swedish company Latitude 64 to manufacture this collection. The company markets the Link as the most beginner-friendly putter in their lineup.

    Skill Level Recommendations

Like any neutral putter, the Link is a solid choice for players of all skill levels.

    • Novice: All-around putt and approach option for beginners. One of Discmania's best starter discs.
    • Intermediate: Great option for players who like a flat-top putter with a somewhat shallow hand feel and a bead on the bottom of the rim.
    • Advanced: Has the stability to absorb extra speed and torque in premium plastic blends, giving it some sneaky distance potential.
    • Pro: Several Discmania pros keep the Link in the bag, including Nate Perkins, Colten Montgomery, and Gavin Babcock.
