The Lone Star Discs Curl sits between the high speed Bowie and the speed 9 Mad Cat, an overstable distance driver at 11, 5, -1, 2 that flips up fast and finishes with a soft, stable fade instead of a hard crash. I keep this as my primary driver except into a stiff headwind, and it handles low ceiling shots under trees very well out past 350 feet.
In Bravo it feels grippy and comfortable through a full season of play, while Alpha flies noticeably more understable, closer to a D4 for players who want that flip without giving up the Curl's glide.
