    MVP Zenith Review

The Zenith is the newest distance driver from MVP. Developed for World Champion James Conrad's signature line, it promises neutral flight characteristics. Players of all skill levels will find a use for this versatile disc. This MVP Zenith review will go over which Zenith in stock and on sale is right for you.

    MVP Zenith Plastics

    • Neutron: The "flagship" blend, this premium plastic is stiffer and slicker than MVP's baseline Electron plastic. Discs fly truest to their flight numbers in Neutron.
    • Plasma: An eye-catching blend with an iridescent sheen. It has similar durability to Neutron and has a gummier and more flexible hand feel.

    MVP Zenith Flight Numbers

    • Speed: 11
    • Glide: 5
    • Turn: -0.5
    • Fade: 2

The Zenith is a relatively neutral driver with excellent straight-line distance potential. Power arms will see enough high-speed turn to flip the Zenith in the mid-flight and a gentle enough fade on the back end to maintain a soft landing. Players with less power will get less turn and a more aggressive fade.

    Dimensions

    • Diameter: 21.2cm
    • Height: 1.7cm
    • Rim Depth: 1.1cm
    • Rim Width: 2.2cm

These are standard dimensions for a distance driver. The 1.1cm rim is shallow enough to accommodate any hand size, particularly in the forehand grip. Though it has a flat top feel, the 1.7cm height is tall for the MVP lineup. The discs closest to the Zenith–the Photon and the Wave–have 1.4cm height measurements.

    History

Released in July 2022, the Zenith is the first distance driver in World Champion James Conrad's signature line. The Zenith effectively fills a gap in the 11-speed category between the more stable Photon and the flippier Wave. Conrad bags both the Zenith and the Photon as his workhorse distance drivers.

    Skill Level Recommendations

The Zenith splits the difference between an understable beginner disc and an overstable pro-level driver.

    • Novice: Overstable utility driver for beginners looking for a reliable hyzer fade.
    • Intermediate: All-around workhorse that combines distance, speed, and control. It will be slightly overstable, but still workable on flex lines.
    • Advanced: Excellent straight-line distance potential on hyzer-flip shots. Also perfect for long-panning anhyzer turnovers that finish flat. Will hold long sweeping hyzer lines.
    • Pro: James Conrad keeps multiple Zeniths in his bag for controlled maximum distance.
