Overstable Distance Drivers

Overstable distance drivers hold a hyzer line for any arm speed, fighting wind and finishing with a hard, predictable fade instead of flipping over. That resistance to turn is exactly what advanced and big arm throwers want on a max distance tee shot where a flippy disc would blow off line in any headwind.

The Innova Halo Star Destroyer is the class standard, an overstable workhorse advanced players compare every other driver against. The Discmania Horizon Cloud Breaker gives a similar hard fade with a bit more glide, and the Mint Discs Apex Goat covers a stiffer, more overstable option for headwind holes and flex shots. The Nate Sexton Firebird and Axiom Time-Lapse hold that same hard fade.

New players should hold off on this class until their arm speed catches up, since these discs will not turn over even on a full power throw. Start in understable distance drivers and work up through stable distance drivers first, or check overstable fairway drivers for a shorter, more controllable version of the same flight.
