The Zone OS flies 4/2/1/5, and that fade number tells you everything. This is the most overstable putter-speed disc Discraft makes. It does not go straight. It does not glide. It dumps left (RHBH) every single time, no matter how hard you throw it.
That sounds limiting, but it's exactly what makes the Zone OS useful. When you need a forehand approach that sits down immediately, this disc does it. Spike hyzers that stick to the hillside? Zone OS. Windy rounds where your regular approach discs get pushed offline? Zone OS handles it.
The "OS" stands for overstable, and it's a step up from the regular Discraft Zone. Where the standard Zone has a workable fade you can shape, the Zone OS skips the shaping entirely. It commits to the hyzer and parks. Experienced players use both: the Zone for touch shots and the Zone OS for when you need a disc that refuses to flip.
That 1 turn rating is overstable turn, meaning the disc resists any high-speed flip. Combined with the 5 fade, the Zone OS has one of the most aggressive finishes of any disc under speed 7. Low glide keeps it from sailing past your target. You throw it, it dumps, it stops.
This is not a beginner disc. Newer players won't have the arm speed to get any distance out of it, and the extreme fade makes it frustrating for general use. Intermediate to advanced players who already bag a Zone will get the most out of adding the OS version for utility situations: headwinds, skip shots, and forced hyzers around obstacles.
