Innova Champion Glow Roc3 (Henna Blomroos Tour Series)
The Innova Champion Glow Roc3, in Henna Blomroos's Tour Series stamp, is an overstable midrange and the flattened, slightly faster version of the classic Roc. Innova's "3" top keeps the profile low, and Paul McBeth's long relationship with the mold has made it one of the most familiar overstable midranges in the game.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / 0 / 3
Champion on the Roc3 sits somewhere between a slight dome and totally flat depending on the run, and it grips reliably in most weather without much softening early on. The glow charge holds through a full evening round, and the plastic takes tree hits on approach shots without chunking. It has a medium bead on the rim, giving it a bit more grip than a beadless midrange of the same speed.
Thrown flat it holds a straight line with a strong, predictable fade at the end, and it performs well in the wind for both controlled approaches and full midrange drives off the tee. It's versatile enough to cover short upshots and longer midrange lines with the same disc. Some throwers with premium form manage to pull turnover, touch lines out of it, closer to McBeth's own release, but for a straight, dependable line it's the disc to throw when the fade needs to hold no matter what. Intermediate and advanced players use it as the standard overstable midrange they compare everything else against.
