The Innova R-Pro Pig is the original grippy version of Innova's most overstable approach disc, and R-Pro is one of the softest, tackiest plastics Innova makes. It has been a staple in tour bags for years for exactly that reason.

R-Pro is soft and rubbery in the hand, with a lot of give but none of the floppiness of a cheaper blend. That softness is what gives the Pig its reputation: a confident, tacky release even in wet or cold conditions, at the cost of durability compared to Stiff Pro or Star. It is the plastic most people mean when they talk about the Pig by name.

Thrown flat into a headwind it holds a straight line and finishes with a hard, dependable fade, sitting down right where it lands instead of skipping or rolling away. That makes it excellent for limiting ground play on tricky approach shots, and it takes moderate wind well out to around 250 feet. Push past that and the low glide starts working against you.

Good for any skill level, especially players who want one overstable disc that handles both headwind tee shots and short, hard fading approaches. Forehand throwers get a lot of confidence out of the grip.
