Star on the Toro is durable and holds its overstability for a long time, resisting the kind of turn-over you'd expect on a lighter-rimmed midrange under torque. It's stiff enough that a hard forehand rip won't push it past its flight, and the grip stays solid through a full sweaty round.

This disc drops out of the sky, and that's the entire point. Low glide, low skip, and almost no left-right wander even at speed. Thrown flat with power it turns modestly before fading hard, and on a full backhand drive it still won't go far, which is exactly what you want on a tight upshot where distance is the enemy.

Forehand players get a clean, torque-resistant release out of it, and it's a strong pick for anyone whose misses are usually long, since the fade closes distance fast rather than skipping past the basket. It's not the disc for someone who wants glide inside the circle, but for layups and downhill approaches it's hard to beat.
