The Innova Star Colossus puts the same speed 14 Colossus into Innova's proven Star plastic, keeping the grip that already feels familiar.

Flight Numbers: 14 / 5 / -2 / 3

Star is grippy from the first throw and stays that way through a long break in period, so you get a consistent release while the disc slowly settles from stable into a touch more turn at the end of its life. The rim runs wide and a little sharp, which is standard for a driver at this speed and not a plastic issue.

You need real arm speed to unlock the turn here. Thrown flat with power it turns over into a wide S curve and finishes with a dependable fade, which is where the extra distance over a 12 speed driver comes from. At altitude it flies even farther. The wide rim is not the friendliest fit for a small hand or a forehand grip, so it leans backhand for most hands, and it is squarely an advanced disc, not a first speed 14 driver for someone still building power.

Got the arm speed for a speed 14 driver? The Shimmer Star Colossus gives you the same flight with a sparkle finish, and the Star Wraith is the easier step if you want to build up to this speed first. Browse the Colossus collection.
