Innova Star Hawkeye (Reaper Edition)
The Innova Star Hawkeye is a straight flying fairway driver built from the old Innova FD mold, and Star plastic gives it a grippy, durable feel that holds its numbers well over time. It is often the next step up from a Leopard for players who want more control.
Flight Numbers: 7 / 5 / -1 / 1
Star plastic grips confidently in most weather and breaks in at a steady pace, holding its flight numbers close to true for a long stretch before it starts to soften. The more pointed nose on this mold gives it a slightly more aerodynamic profile than a Leopard3, and that shape is easier for a lot of people to release cleanly.
Thrown flat with a smooth release it goes dead straight with a small, gentle fade at the end. Add a little hyzer and it will flip up to flat and hold that line for a long, controlled flight, which makes it a strong option for tunnel shots and tight fairways. Push it hard enough and it will eventually turn over, so it rewards a clean release more than raw power.
Good for beginners who want a straight, forgiving flyer and for more advanced players who want a dependable neutral fairway driver for technical lines. Kids and slower arms do well with it too.
Want more turn and glide out of the same shape? The Champion Hawkeye holds its stability longer under power. See the rest of our stable fairway drivers, or compare it to the Star Leopard3.
