The Discmania Origin in Soft Exo plastic is a small diameter, understable midrange built for turnover shots and long anhyzer lines through the woods. Discmania sized this mold down on purpose, so it sits closer to a Buzzz SS or an Innova Manta in the hand than a full size mid.

Soft Exo has the same tacky grip as the rest of Discmania's Exo line, but on the Origin that grip pairs with a rim thin enough to snap off the hand cleanly on a flick. It beats in fast for a premium plastic, and after the first few rounds it gets even easier to turn over.

Thrown flat with real speed it flips past flat and holds a turnover line most of the way down the fairway, then settles with barely any fade at the end. On a hyzer it wants to flip up to flat rather than stay on hyzer, so the move is to release it with more hyzer than you think you need and let the disc do the flattening. Newer players use it to learn what a hyzer flip actually feels like, and forehand throwers reach for it on tight, wooded lines where a straight shot would clip a tree.
