Innova Champion Wraith (Reaper Edition)
2
The Innova Wraith in Champion plastic carries a Reaper stamp on one of the most trusted distance drivers in disc golf. This is an overstable driver with enough glide to make it feel more forgiving than its numbers suggest, which is why it works as the natural step before the Destroyer. Champion plastic gives this run extra durability without giving up much grip.
Flight Numbers: 11 / 5 / -1 / 3
Champion holds this disc's overstability for a long time, so the fade you buy is the fade you keep through a season of tree hits. It is a little firmer than Star out of the package, but it warms up fine in the hand after a few holes. Compared to GStar or Halo Star, Champion is the plastic to pick if durability matters more than maximum grip in the rain.
Thrown flat it holds a long, glidey line and finishes with a dependable fade instead of dumping early, which is what makes it the am version of the Destroyer. It is too fast for a brand new player, but once you can break 300 feet with a control driver, the Wraith is where the jump into true distance drivers usually happens. It works equally well forehand and backhand, and the fade holds up in a tailwind or a long hyzer shot without flipping over.
Ready to move up from a 9 speed? The Star Wraith is the same mold in a grippier plastic for warmer rounds. Want even more overstable dependability? The GStar Wraith holds a flatter line in cold weather. Browse the rest of our Wraith lineup.
