This First Run Prodigy PX-3 comes in Prodigy's grippy 300 plastic, from the batch that introduced the mold before the stamp changed on later runs. It is a beaded, overstable putter with the same low profile as a PA-3, just shallower and with a more pronounced bead under the fingers.

300 plastic is Prodigy's mid-tier blend: grippy and rigid without the price of a premium run, and it beats in faster than 400 or 500 series plastics because it is not built to last quite as long. That faster break-in is not a downside here, a putter this overstable benefits from softening up a little over a season.

Thrown on an anhyzer with a little flex it holds glide longer than most beaded putters before settling hard to the left, and a stall hyzer into the wind sits down close to the basket instead of skipping through. On a flat release inside the circle it is a confident, predictable putter with a beaded grip that suits a power or fan hold equally well.

It works better as a throwing putter and approach disc than a pure spin putter, so players who putt with a hyzer angle or want a reliable driving putter get the most out of it. Beaded putter fans who found the PA-3 too deep in the rim will like the shallower profile here.
