Kastaplast K1 Berg X
2
The Kastaplast K1 Berg X is an overstable putter built as the torque-resistant sibling of the original Berg, and it holds a firmer line no matter how much power you put behind it. K1 gives it the grip Kastaplast plastics are known for.
Flight Numbers: 1 / 1 / 1 / 2
K1 is grippy and durable straight out of the wrapper, with just enough flex to feel comfortable in the hand on backhand or forehand releases. It doesn't beat in fast, so the extra torque resistance you get on day one sticks around through a long stretch of rounds. Compared to a standard Berg it's slightly more overstable and finishes with a heavier fade.
Thrown at approach speed it stays low, flies flat, and drops rather than skipping past the basket, and it won't flip over even when you put full power behind a forehand shot. Wind barely moves it, which makes it a dependable pick on gusty days when a lighter putter would drift.
It's a strong choice for anyone who wants a get-out-of-jail disc for short hyzer shots, or a forehand approach that won't turn over no matter how hard you rip it. It's less useful as a primary putter for someone who wants glide inside the circle, this one is built to hold, not float.
Prefer more grip in the same overstable flight? The Kastaplast K1 Soft Berg X feels a little softer in the hand. Want the original, slightly less overstable Berg instead? The Kastaplast K1 Berg holds a straighter line. See the full Berg X lineup.
