Innova Halo Star Firebird (Reaper Edition)
2
The Innova Firebird in Halo Star, stamped Reaper Edition, is usually the first very overstable driver a developing player is told to buy, and there is a reason that advice never changes. It is a control driver built to fight headwinds and hold a line under real torque.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 3 / 0 / 4
Halo Star carries the same flex and durability as standard Star plastic with a color shifting swirl running through it. It takes tree hits without much damage and keeps its dome and rim shape through years of forehand abuse, which matters since this mold gets thrown into a lot of trees on purpose.
Flat or on hyzer it fades hard at the end no matter what angle you release it on, so wind barely moves it off course. That makes it a natural forehand driver and a reliable utility disc when you need the disc to stop turning over and just come home. Newer players can throw it without much power and still get a predictable finish; big arms use it as the disc that will not flip no matter how hard they crank on it.
Want the classic durable feel in the same mold? The Innova Star Firebird is worth a look. Prefer a flat top profile? The Innova Champion Flat Top Firebird is the one to grab. Browse the rest of our overstable distance drivers.
