Innova Champion Metal Flake Roc3
The Innova Champion Metal Flake Roc3 is a flattened, faster version of the classic Roc, and Metal Flake Champion is the stiffest, grippiest plastic Innova puts it in. This is a control midrange built for players who want the same shot every time they let go of it.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / 0 / 3
Metal Flake Champion feels close to regular Champion but a shade stiffer, with enough grip to hold a release in cold weather and enough durability to shrug off tree hits. It stays overstable for a long time before it settles into the dead straight flight the flight numbers promise, so do not expect the fast beat in you get from base plastic. The big bead sits comfortably under a backhand grip; forehand throwers will notice it more and may prefer a beadless plastic instead.
Thrown flat this midrange holds a straight line for 250 to 300 feet before a clean fade at the end, not a dump. On a hyzer it stays on the hyzer, and in wind it does not want to turn over. Intermediate and advanced players use it as a straight shot mid off the tee and for upshots inside the circle, and it is a good disc to graduate to once a Buzzz starts feeling too flippy.
Need it to hold up longer? The Tour Series Color Glow Pro Roc3 is a faster beating variant with the same shape. Prefer a smaller, deep rimmed feel in the same plastic family? The Halo Star Roc3 runs a touch more overstable out of the box. See every stamp in the Roc3 collection.
