Discmania DD3 (C-Line)
The Discmania DD3 in C-Line is an overstable distance driver built to fill the same slot as an Innova Destroyer, which makes sense since Innova manufactures Discmania's discs too. C-Line is Discmania's Italian blend plastic, a gummier cousin to Champion plastic with a finish that looks as good as it flies.
Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 3
C-Line runs stiffer than Star or Champion, especially in cold weather where it gets glass hard below freezing, but it stays tacky and grippy through all of that. It softens up nicely in warm conditions with real flex in the hand. As it beats in it mostly loses low speed stability rather than flipping over, so a seasoned C-Line DD3 holds an anhyzer turnover line for most of its flight before a smooth, late fade brings it home.
Brand new, it is excellent for anhyzer flex shots and fights wind about as well as any driver in the shop thanks to serious torque resistance, useful on max distance forehand and backhand drives alike. It is not a great choice for a true beginner since it wants real speed to show its flight, but intermediate and advanced arms throwing 350 feet and up get an overstable workhorse with a smooth high speed turn and dependable late fade in a headwind.
Want the same mold in Discmania's other flagship plastic? The DD3 S-Line flexes a little more and feels closer to a fresh Star Destroyer. Like a swirl finish? The S-Line DD3 Cloud Breaker 3 keeps the same flight in a different look. Browse the rest of the DD3 collection.
