The Axiom Proton Insanity is a stable control driver, Axiom's first distance and control driver, cast in translucent Proton plastic with the speckled colorways Proton is known for.

Proton on this mold comes out shiny and translucent with a tacky feel that grips well straight out of the box, better than the smoother Neutron runs. It flies a touch more stable than the Insanity does in other plastics while still turning easily at speed, and it holds that flight for a long time since Proton beats in slower than most of Axiom's other blends.

Thrown with power it turns over smoothly and holds a long, controlled line rather than flipping all the way over, and average arm speeds still get a remarkably straight flight with real distance. That makes it a fairway driver that plays longer than its numbers, useful for backhand drives, forehand flicks, and turnover shots when a hole calls for working around an obstacle. Intermediate players get an easy to throw driver that goes far without much effort; bigger arms get a disc that holds up at full power instead of dumping into a hard fade.
