Ethos is translucent and firm out of the box, closer in feel to a Champion or ESP than a soft base plastic. It grips well without being tacky, and it takes a long time to soften up, so the flight you get on day one is close to the flight you still get a season later.

Thrown flat it flies straight down the fairway with only a small fade to finish, which is what makes it easy to place on a line and trust. On a hyzer it holds the angle you release it on instead of fighting back.

Good for players at any level who want a midrange that does not surprise them. Newer players get an honest, straight-flying disc to learn timing with, and better players use it as the ruler they measure other midranges against.
