The Latitude 64 Opto Compass is a stable midrange that holds whatever line you put it on, and Opto is the plastic almost everyone reaches for it in. It is one of the few mid-range discs I trust on a flat release and a hyzer flip in the same round.

Opto is Latitude 64's translucent, slightly gummy blend, and it grips well even when the course is wet. It is not as tacky as premium base plastics, but it holds up to rock and tree hits and beats in slowly, so a fresh Compass and a two year old one fly close to the same numbers.

Thrown flat it goes exactly where you point it and finishes with a short, gentle fade instead of any drama. On a hyzer it stays on the hyzer, and on an anhyzer line it holds the angle rather than fighting back early. Slower arms get a full flight out of it at 250 feet, and bigger arms use it as the ruler they compare every other midrange against.

Good for beginners learning what a clean release looks like and for advanced players who want a straight mid they never have to think about. Forehand throwers like the beadless rim and shallow depth.
