MVP Neutron Ion
The MVP Neutron Ion is a stable putter with a noticeable bead, which fills the crease of your palm and gives you something to pinch between your fingers on release. It is a thicker feeling putter than most, closer to a P2 or Aviar in depth without going all the way there.
Flight Numbers: 2.5 / 3 / 0 / 1.5
Neutron is MVP's grippy baseline plastic, and it holds onto your hand exactly as long as you want it to, which matters more on a bead putter than almost anything else. It is durable enough to handle a full season of putting practice without much visible wear.
Thrown for a putt it flies basically straight with a touch more glide than the numbers suggest, and it can hold a hyzer or anhyzer line without turning into a roller. It has enough stability to survive a steep release angle, which makes it forgiving on approach shots from awkward lies.
Good for players who like a bead and a deeper grip, especially anyone coming from a Wizard or similar beaded putter who wants more stability. It handles backhand approach shots well, though forehand throwers may prefer a beadless disc.
Want the same mold beadless? The MVP Electron Ion uses a different plastic for a softer feel. Need more overstable for wind? The MVP Proton Ion is the one to try. Browse our stable putters.
