Innova Star Stingray (Reaper Edition)
1
The Innova Star Stingray is a shallow, narrow rimmed midrange built for smooth, controllable turnover flights. Star plastic gives it a grip that works well with either a power grip or a modified fan grip on this thinner profile.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 5 / -3 / 1
Star plastic on the Stingray grips confidently while staying easy to release, and it holds its understable character for a long time rather than settling into something straighter too quickly. The shallow dome adds a bit of stiffness that helps it not feel too thin in the hand despite the narrow rim.
Thrown flat it holds a smooth, reliable turn and rides that line a long way thanks to genuinely good glide for a midrange. On a slight hyzer flip it flattens out and finishes dead straight, which makes it excellent for hitting tight gaps and tunnels at partial power. Newer players get a forgiving straight flier with enough turn and glide to stay aloft and get surprising distance.
Good for beginners who want a dependable, straight flying midrange, and just as useful for moderate power players who want a controlled turnover option for sweeping anhyzer lines through the woods.
Want an overstable midrange to pair with this one? The Star Lion covers the other end of the stability range. See our full understable midranges, or compare it to the Axiom Neutron Hex.
