Discraft Jawbreaker Z FLX Captain's Raptor
5
The Discraft Jawbreaker Z FLX Captain's Raptor celebrates Discraft co-captain Paul Ulibarri, following last year's ESP Swirl Captain's Raptor with the brand's first release in the flexible Jawbreaker Z FLX blend. It is an overstable fairway driver built for confidence in the wind.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 4 / 0 / 3
Jawbreaker Z FLX combines the flex of Discraft's FLX line with Jawbreaker's tacky grip, giving a softer in hand feel than standard Z while holding the same overstable shape. The Raptor in Z Line is a flat, comfortable disc for forehand releases, with the flex adding a bit more give on tree and ground contact.
Out of the box it does not take much arm speed to get up to full flight, and it holds true to its numbers rather than turning over early. Forehand throwers describe pushing it out to an extreme anhyzer and having it fight back to a true line every time, which opens up shots a less overstable disc cannot make. It is not the disc to hand a total beginner, since it can get away from a slow release, but for anyone who already throws a fairway driver with confidence, it is a dependable option in wind.
