MVP Neutron Catalyst
2
The MVP Catalyst in Neutron plastic is a controllably understable distance driver built to add real distance without demanding a huge arm. MVP designed it as the friendlier, slightly more stable stablemate to the Orbital, and it is the disc I point new players to for that first 350 foot breakthrough throw.
Flight Numbers: 13 / 5.5 / -2 / 2
Neutron is MVP’s standard durable plastic, opaque, grippy, and tough enough to take repeated tree hits without chunking. It has a bit less shine than Proton but holds up longer under regular play, and the grip stays consistent whether the course is dry or damp.
Thrown flat with real speed it turns over early and holds a long, gliding line before a gentle forward fade brings it home, which is where a lot of that extra distance comes from. Lower power throwers get an easy hyzer flip to flat, while bigger arms can push it into rollers and sky anhyzers. It is a strong pick for a newer player working on arm speed, and an easy bag slot for anyone who wants a max distance driver without fighting an oversized rim.
Want more control on the fade? The Proton Catalyst gives you the same shape in a stiffer, more overstable-leaning plastic. Prefer extra grip in the hand? The Plasma Catalyst is the one to try. See the rest of our distance drivers.
