The MVP Photon in Plasma plastic is an overstable distance driver with a thick, high speed rim built for advanced players who want a dependable flex or hyzer flip line. It was MVP’s first driver at the full 21.5 cm diameter, and it holds that stability through years of play.

Plasma is MVP’s premium, grippy plastic, and it holds its stability especially well since it resists the softening that eventually turns a beat-in disc flippy. It feels stiffer in the hand than Neutron with noticeably more traction, which matters on a rim this thick, and it takes plenty of tree hits before showing real wear.

With a small amount of hyzer it flips up to flat and turns over before finishing with a solid fade, and with more hyzer it holds that flat flight longer before the same reliable finish. Newer or slower arms will feel it as a straight up overstable meathook until enough speed gets behind it. It is a comfortable driver for smaller hands since the rim, while thick, is not the widest in its class, and forehand throwers get a clean, predictable flex shot out of it.
