Kastaplast K3 Berg (Reaper Edition)
2
The Kastaplast K3 Berg (Reaper Edition) is the same low glide, dead accurate Berg shape in Kastaplast's softer K3 line plastic. Where K1 takes a while to break in, K3 arrives already close to its sweet spot.
Flight Numbers: 1 / 1 / 0 / 2
K3 plastic is tackier and more flexible than K1 right out of the box, giving an easy, confident grip without a long break in period. Seasoned K3 Bergs tend to become straight finishers, holding their line with only the smallest hint of fade at the very end once they have some rounds on them.
The Berg barely glides no matter what plastic it comes in, so a K3 Berg thrown at nearly full power on a hyzer line still lands close to where you released it, with very little skip. That makes it a strong choice for upshots in the 100 to 180 foot range where you want to commit to a hard release without worrying about it running past the basket. It also handles forehand rollers well, holding a line over roots and low obstacles.
Good for players who prefer a point and shoot approach to upshots and want a putter that gets to its stable flight quickly instead of needing a full season to break in.
Want the firmer, longer lasting K1 plastic instead? The K1 Berg holds its shape longer. Prefer glow plastic for night rounds? Try the K1 Glow Berg. See our overstable putters.
