Kastaplast K1 Glow Svea
The Kastaplast K1 Glow Svea is an understable midrange with real glide, built to hold whatever line you put it on. K1 Glow plastic keeps the grip Kastaplast is known for and adds a charge bright enough for a full evening round.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 6 / -1 / 0
K1 Glow feels premium and firm at first, with the same tacky grip as Kastaplast's K1 line, and it takes a real beating from trees before it softens. Once it does, it stays close to neutral rather than dumping fade, the flight this mold is bought for.
Thrown with a hyzer it flips to flat and rides a long, straight line all the way to the ground with essentially no fade at the end. On a smoother release it holds whatever angle you give it, which makes it a strong pick for panning right-turning lines off a backhand for players who don't throw forehand. Push it with real power and it will turn and burn past neutral into a turnover, so ease off if you want it to hold straight.
Beginners get an honest teacher here, throw it poorly and it turns and burns, throw it clean and it goes surprisingly far for a midrange. Intermediate and advanced players use it for hyzer flip tunnel shots and as a stand-in forehand replacement on lines where they need the disc to turn right on its own.
New to hyzer flips? The Kastaplast K1 Svea gives you the same understable flight without the glow. Prefer a softer, grippier feel out of the wrapper? The Kastaplast K1 Soft Svea is worth trying. Shop the full Svea collection.
