Innova Luster Champion Tern (Reaper Edition)
The Innova Luster Champion Tern has a shimmering finish over Champion plastic, on one of Innova's highest speed understable drivers. It is built for intermediate arms chasing more distance without stepping up to a fully overstable bomber.
Flight Numbers: 12 / 6 / -2 / 2
Luster Champion keeps the stiff, durable feel of standard Champion underneath the sheen, so it holds up to tree hits and does not lose its shape quickly. It needs a confident release to get the most out of it since Champion is less grippy than Star or GStar, but once you have the arm speed, it stays consistent for a long time.
Thrown flat with real power it carries a long way and turns over gradually into a flat, gliding flight before finishing with a moderate fade, which is why casual groups often call it their easiest fairway bomb. It responds well to a slight anhyzer for shot shaping, and forehand throwers can use it for flatter, controlled flex shots too.
Best for intermediate players who already have some power but are not quite ready for a Destroyer or Wraith. Beginners may find the 12 speed rim a bit much until their release speeds up.
Want a plastic that grips easier at lower arm speeds? The Star Tern is a softer, grippier option. Prefer even more flex and glide? Try the GStar Tern. See our understable distance drivers.
Speed 12, glide 6, turn -2, fade 2. Diameter 21.1 cm, rim width 2.3 cm, max weight 174 g.
