Innova Star Corvette (Reaper Edition)
1
The Innova Star Corvette, carrying our Reaper stamp, is Innova's second speed 14 driver and one of the few discs at that speed a moderate arm can actually make fly like the numbers promise. Star plastic keeps the rim grippy through a full round of sweaty, cold, or rained-on conditions.
Flight Numbers: 14 / 6 / -1 / 2
Star gives this mold a firmer, less flexible feel than Champion, which matters here because Champion Corvettes fly noticeably more overstable, closer to a Destroyer. Star Corvettes ride flatter and hold more turn, the flight worth reaching for with this mold, and it beats in slowly so that extra glide sticks around.
On a full power forehand it rides that turn a long way before the glide flattens it out for real distance, and on anhyzer with the right angle it turns into a legitimate roller past 300 feet. Backhand throwers without max arm speed still get more carry than most other 14 speeds manage, and on a flat release it goes dead straight before a light fade brings it home.
Big arm throwers get the most out of this one, and forehand players who like a fast, flat release will find it controllable. Slower arms can still turn it over on a hyzer flip, just don't expect full glide until your speed catches up.
Want more glide? Try the Innova Metal Flake Corvette, which flies from the same fast, flat Star-style mold. Prefer the overstable Champion version instead? The Champion Metal Flake Corvette fades harder and finishes more like a Destroyer. Browse the rest of the Corvette lineup.
