Dynamic Discs Fuzion Raider
2
The Dynamic Discs Fuzion Raider is a fast, overstable distance driver that flies close to a Star Destroyer with a bit more turn when a strong arm rips it. It has become one of Dynamic Discs' most consistent molds, with every Fuzion Raider I have thrown holding the same flight as the last.
Flight Numbers: 13 / 5 / -0.5 / 3
Fuzion plastic is stiffer than the softer Lucid line but beats in over time into a longer flying, slightly more understable version of itself, unlike Lucid Raiders which stay reliably overstable out of the box. The wide 2.3 cm rim can be a lot for smaller hands, but it sits well for forehand throws and gives real grip on a full power release.
Thrown flat it holds the flat portion of its flight longer than most drivers this fast before fading hard, and power throwers can consistently gain thirty to forty feet over a Star Destroyer with the same release. It is not a disc for players still building arm speed; without real power behind it, the Raider will fly overstable and short rather than opening up into the long flex line it is built for. Advanced and pro players looking for a dependable max distance driver should have one in the bag.
Want the same shape in a stiffer, longer-lasting plastic? Try the Dynamic Discs Ricky Wysocki Raider. Curious how it compares to Discraft's wide-rimmed option? The Discraft ESP Nuke is the usual comparison. See the rest of our overstable distance drivers.
Speed 13, glide 5, turn -0.5, fade 3. Diameter 21.2 cm, rim width 2.3 cm, max weight 176 g.
