It beats in slowly, so a fresh ESP Buzzz runs a hair stable and takes a season of rounds before it settles into the dead straight flight the numbers promise. That slow break in is why keeping two on hand, at different stages of wear, makes sense.

Thrown flat it holds a neutral line for most of the flight and finishes with a short, gentle fade instead of flipping over. On a hyzer it stays on that hyzer, and as an approach shot inside 150 feet it turns into a floaty upshot that lands soft instead of skipping past the basket. Into a headwind it does not flip the way lighter rimmed midranges do. New players learn what a clean release looks like, and forehand throwers like the beadless rim in the hand.
