Westside Discs Tournament Stag
1
The Westside Discs Tournament Stag is a stable fairway driver with more turn in it than the overstable label on some listings suggests, closer to a stable-to-slightly-overstable disc once you actually throw it. It is a bit polarizing, but it earns real respect once you find its role in the bag.
Flight Numbers: 8 / 6 / -1 / 2
Tournament plastic is Westside's grippy, durable base blend, and unlike some molds, the flight of the Stag barely changes between plastics since the wing shape does most of the work. It holds a noticeable amount of glide, closer to a Saint than a typical fairway driver.
Thrown flat it takes some turn early, glides, and holds that turn for a long time before fading back, which makes it useful as a flippy utility driver for shots that need to bend around trouble. On a straight tunnel shot it finishes with a clean, hyzer-holding fade.
Good for beginners learning to shape shots and for advanced players who want a straight, dependable tunnel disc. As it beats in it turns over even more, so a well-worn Stag becomes a great option for slower arms chasing distance.
