The tradeoff is durability: a hard tree strike can knock the stability down a notch quicker than it would in a firmer plastic, so this is not the disc to throw into gaps you might miss.

Thrown flat it holds a straight line with enough glide to carry the whole flight, then closes with a short, soft fade. New players get a midrange that does not need much power to go the full distance, and it is straight enough for a big arm to use for placement shots off the tee. Best shot: a flat approach from 250 feet where you need the disc to stop where it lands instead of rolling past the basket.
