Proton is MVP’s translucent, premium plastic, stiffer and a touch slicker fresh out of the sleeve than Neutron, though it grips up quickly after a round or two. It is built to survive the kind of hyzer flips and hard forehand rips this disc invites, and it keeps that candy colored translucent look for a long time.

Power throwers can hyzer flip this one for a wide, sweeping turnover line or send it flat for a long, gliding tailwind bomb, and either way it comes home with a clean, controlled fade instead of dumping hard left. It is not the disc for a tight, wooded hole, it wants open space to finish its turnover. Intermediate to advanced arms get the most out of it, and forehand throwers can lean on the same steady turn for a right to left finishing line.
