Lone Star Discs Bravo Horny Toad
The Lone Star Discs Bravo Horny Toad is an overstable putter built for upshots more than straight putting, with a two foil stamp that makes every disc look a little different. Bravo plastic gives it more flex than Lone Star's firmer Alpha blend.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 3 / 0 / 3
Bravo is Lone Star's flexible premium plastic, closest in feel to Discraft's ESP FLX line, grippy and a little softer in the hand than Alpha. That flex helps it absorb a slightly off release without punishing the shot, and it holds its stability well through regular rounds.
It comes in with a strong, dependable fade rather than gliding past the target, which is exactly what you want on a windy approach or a forced turnover around an obstacle. It handles gusty conditions better than most putters its speed, so I reach for it any time the wind picks up on an upshot. It's built for intermediate and advanced players who already have a straighter putter for tap ins and need something specifically for harder approach work.
New to overstable approach putters? Pair it with something straighter for tap ins first. Want the same idea in a firmer plastic? Check the Lone Star Alpha Curl line for that stiffer feel. Prefer a proven overstable approach disc from another brand? The Innova Star Toro is the usual comparison. Browse our overstable putters.
