Alpha plastic feels like a cross between Discraft's ESP and Innova's Star, firm, grippy, and durable enough to shrug off a tree strike. It holds its overstable shape for a long time before the disc starts to turn over with wear.
Thrown with enough speed it flies straight with a touch of turn before fading hard at the finish, the kind of predictable fade you want on a windy hole or a forced dogleg. On a forehand release it handles torque well and turns into one of the more reliable flick drivers in the shop, even for a smaller arm.
Power throwers and advanced players get the most out of it as a windy-day workhorse, since it resists turning over even under a hard release. A slower arm will feel this one stall out short of its full distance, so treat it as a disc to grow into rather than a first driver.
