The Lone Star Discs Alpha Copperhead is an overstable putt and approach disc with a thumbtrack rim on a very flat top, molded in Lone Star's firm Alpha plastic. It is a beaded, slow-speed putter built for control into the wind rather than distance.

Alpha is a firm, durable plastic with a grip similar to a premium base blend, close enough to Discraft's ESP that players moving between brands notice the family resemblance. The thumbtrack groove stays crisp in Alpha for a long time, which matters on a disc you grip the same way every putt.
It flies with a straightforward fade and holds its line into a headwind better than a beadless putter of the same speed, making it a solid choice for tucked pins or moving around obstacles on the course. On a hyzer it stays on hyzer with a predictable finish. Intermediate and advanced players who want both a thumbtrack and a bead find it fills a specific gap, and it is not the easiest first putter for someone brand new to the sport.
