Lone Star Discs Bravo Copperhead
The Lone Star Discs Bravo Copperhead puts the same thumbtrack, flat-top approach putter in Bravo plastic, a softer, tackier blend than Alpha. It is still an overstable, beaded putt and approach disc built for control rather than distance.
Flight Numbers: 3 / 4 / 0 / 2
Bravo splits the difference between Alpha's firmness and a fully soft base plastic, tacky enough for a confident grip in cold or wet conditions while still holding up to regular play. It breaks in a bit faster than Alpha, softening slightly around the thumbtrack without losing the groove.
It fades reliably out of a flat release and holds a headwind line well for a disc this slow, which makes it useful for moving around trees or fighting into open holes. On a hyzer it stays put rather than flipping flat. Intermediate and advanced players who want the thumbtrack feel with extra grip reach for the Bravo version, and beginners may find the deep rim takes a round or two to get comfortable with.
Want a firmer, longer lasting version? The Alpha Copperhead runs the same mold in a stiffer blend. Curious about a newer plastic run of the same shape? The Copperhead (Victor 2) is worth a look. Browse the full Copperhead collection here.
