The Lone Star Discs Alpha Chupacabra is an overstable control driver with a hard finishing fade, built in Lone Star's durable Alpha plastic.

Alpha is a firm, grippy premium blend that feels similar to Discraft's ESP and holds up to years of regular play without going soft. It has a high shoulder and a domey middle that gives the disc extra rim strength against tree and rock hits.

Thrown flat or on a slight hyzer it fades hard at the end no matter what you do to it, closer to a flat top Firebird than a standard control driver. On a forehand release it holds up against a lot of torque before it will even think about turning over, though it does tend to skip and push through thick grass rather than bury on landing.

Intermediate and advanced players use it in windy conditions or for forced turnover lines where a disc simply has to fade no matter what. It is not a beginner disc, a slower arm will feel the fade take over before the disc finishes its glide.
