Kastaplast K1 Glow Stig
2
The Kastaplast K1 Glow Stig is an understable midrange in K1 plastic that glows once the light drops, and it flies exactly like the daytime Stig underneath the additive. Kastaplast built the Stig as a mid-range that holds a straight line for tunnel shots, and slower arms will feel it turn over more than a stable disc would.
Flight Numbers: 6 / 5 / -2 / 1
K1 is Kastaplast's firm premium plastic, a little slick fresh out of the bag but grippy enough once your hand warms it up. It takes a long time to beat in, so the turn you see on a new Glow Stig is the turn you will still get well into next season, unlike a base line plastic that softens fast.
Flat and easy, it rides out with a touch of turn before settling into a light fade, which makes it a natural hyzer flip disc for wooded lines. Big arms get real turnover out of it on a flat release, while beginners get a forgiving midrange that will not fight them on a controlled approach. It also holds up well against a headwind for a disc this understable.
Need more overstable backbone for windy rounds? The K1 Stig in daylight plastic flies the same numbers without the glow. Want the tour stamp version instead? The K1 Hard Stig (Clay Edwards) runs the same mold in a firmer blend. See every plastic in the Stig collection.
