Kastaplast K1 Glow Gote
The Kastaplast K1 Glow Gote is a stable midrange, slower than the Kaxe or Kaxe Z in Kastaplast's lineup, built as a point and shoot disc almost anyone can pick up and throw. K1 Glow plastic adds a bright charge on top of the grip Kastaplast plastics are known for.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 5 / 0 / 1
K1 Glow feels tall and a little domey in the hand for a midrange, closer in profile to a putter, which takes some getting used to at first. It's durable and grippy, and the glow charge holds bright through a full evening round.
Power down and throw it flat and this disc goes dead straight with a light fade at the end, more finesse tool than distance driver. Push it with real power on a backhand and it will flip past neutral into a slight turnover, so the best results come from an easier release. On a hyzer it holds the line well for tunnel shots and short gaps in the woods.
New players get an easy, forgiving flight out of it once they back off the power a little, and it works as a low-stress upshot disc for anyone who tends to overthrow midranges. Intermediate players use it on tight, technical holes where a faster mid would overshoot the fairway.
Want a faster midrange in the same K1 Glow plastic? The Kastaplast K1 Gote flies the same flight without the glow. Looking for extra grip for tight fairway control? The Kastaplast K3 Gote is worth bagging alongside it. Browse our Gote collection.
