Innova KC Pro Roc
1
The Innova KC Pro Roc is Ken Climo's namesake plastic on the most trusted overstable midrange in disc golf. The Roc has been a bag staple since before most current players started, and KC Pro is the plastic built to survive that many rounds.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 4 / 0 / 3
KC Pro plastic starts out stiff and a little slick, almost chalky in the hand, and gets grippier the more it gets thrown. It is not as soft as DX but it holds its shape and its overstable fade far longer, which matters on a midrange this popular for cycling through rounds. The beaded rim releases cleanest with a fan or relaxed grip; a hard power grip tends to fight this disc rather than help it.
Thrown flat this midrange holds a controlled line and finishes with a real fade, not a soft drift, which makes it dependable in the wind and reliable for tunnel shots through trees. It is a strong forehand or backhand approach disc inside 250 feet, and advanced players use it as the disc that will not surprise them under pressure. Newer players should expect the flight numbers to show up more clearly once they move past base line plastic, since a beat in DX Roc flies noticeably straighter than a fresh KC Pro.
