Innova Galactic XT Sonic (Reaper Edition)

Our custom Flame Vortex stamp goes on Innova's Sonic here, molded in the rare Galactic XT blend. The Sonic is Innova's most understable putt and approach disc, a grooved-rim putter that resists fade harder than almost anything else in a bag.
Flight Numbers: 1 / 2 / -4 / 0
Galactic XT is a firm, dense blend with a swirled look and decent grip, more rigid than Innova's base DX and less slick than Star. It holds up to years of putting practice without going soft, and the grooved thumb track along the rim keeps its bite even after a lot of rounds.
Thrown flat this disc barely turns and almost never fades, it just floats and settles wherever the angle you gave it runs out. In wind it feels flippy and needs a flatter release than most putters. On a light anhyzer it holds that line for a long time before it finally drops, which makes it a natural for tricky approach shots around trees. Players coming over from ultimate frisbee pick this up fast because the tall, grooved rim feels familiar, and beginners like it because a bad release still tends to land somewhere reasonable. Heavier weights can crack against rocks and trees, so lighter weights hold up better over time.
Want a Sonic without waiting on a Reaper stamp? The Garrett Gurthie Halo Sonic flies the same understable line. If you already carry something overstable for approach shots, the Kastaplast K1 Berg covers the opposite end of that slot. Browse the rest of our understable putters.
