Discraft Z Sparkle Zeus (Worlds Edition)
1
The Discraft Z Sparkle Zeus in this Worlds Edition run is Paul McBeth's overstable distance driver, a wide rimmed disc built to hold up for a power thrower who needs both distance and control.
Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 3
Z Sparkle is Discraft's firm, translucent Z blend with a metallic fleck mixed through the flight plate. It is less grippy than ESP out of the box, better in the cold since it does not soften the way a tackier plastic can, and it barely beats in, so the overstable flight you get today is close to the flight you will get for years.
A power thrower gets a long, high speed flight that holds its line before finishing with a hard, dependable fade, and on a hyzer with real speed behind it, the wide 2.3 cm rim keeps it from turning over even in a headwind. Forehand throwers get the same stability on a flick release. This is not a disc for a slower arm looking for distance, it wants speed to open up and rewards a fast, flat release with a long, overstable flight built to hold a line through the wind.
Need max distance from a big arm with more turn out of the box? The Discraft ESP Zeus is the standard grippy version. Prefer a plastic that will not soften for years? The Discraft Big Z Zeus holds its shape the longest. Browse the rest of our Zeus lineup.
