Discraft Z Sparkle Luna (Ledgestone)
2
The Discraft Luna in Z Sparkle plastic is this year's Ledgestone run, with metallic flake mixed into the translucent Z base so it throws off light in direct sun. The Luna is Paul McBeth's primary putter, and it is a lower glide, more overstable disc than most putters carry.
Flight Numbers: 3 / 4 / 0 / 2
Z Sparkle keeps the firm, grippy handling of standard Z, just with the added flake for looks. It resists wear well and holds its stiffness through a full season of putting, so the flight you get on day one is close to the flight you get a year later.
Low glide means the Luna does not skip past the basket when you misjudge a putt, it drops. Thrown flat at approach speed it flies short and true with a mild fade at the finish, and wind barely moves it. That makes it a confident throw-in putter on gusty days and a good choice for anyone who putts with pace rather than touch. Forehand throwers like the low profile release.
Want more grip out of the box? The Big Z Luna feels a touch softer. Curious what the pros carry? Check the Discraft ESP Luna Paul McBeth. See the full overstable putters lineup.
