Discraft ESP Roach (Ledgestone)
1
This Discraft Roach is a Ledgestone Open run in ESP plastic, the same narrow, flat profile putter that quietly wins over Luna throwers after a season or two. It grips the chains as well as it grips your hand, which is the whole reason it built such a following.
Flight Numbers: 2 / 4 / 0 / 1
ESP holds real grip in cool weather where softer putter plastics start to feel slick, and it stays tacky against the chains without going gummy. The narrow rim keeps the disc feeling small in the hand, so spin putts and flick approach shots come out clean rather than catching on the fingers.
Thrown flat it flies true with a light, honest fade, and off the tee it holds a straight line with enough glide to work as a throwing putter out to 175 feet or more. Beginners like it because the flight does not hide a bad release, and advanced players use it as a putting putter first and a backup approach disc second. Forehand throwers in particular reach for it because the shallow rim releases clean on a flick.
Want a softer plastic for this same shallow shape? The Discraft Jawbreaker Roach is worth trying. Prefer the standard ESP feel without the Ledgestone stamp? The Discraft Putter Line Roach is the budget option. Browse our full stable putters collection.
