The Discraft Thrasher in ESP FLX plastic is a fast, understable distance driver built for long, booming flex shots rather than straight bombs. Discraft designed it to turn over slowly and evenly, which is different from a lot of 12 speed understable discs that flip hard the moment you push power into them.

ESP FLX has the same grippy feel as standard ESP with a softer, bendier flight plate, and it is more forgiving of a slightly off nose angle than most discs in this speed class. That forgiveness is a big part of why players who struggled with squirrelly understable drivers end up bagging the Thrasher instead.

Thrown flat with real speed it takes advantage of that turn and holds a long flex line before fighting back with a real fade at the end instead of a soft finish. On a hyzer flip it takes a little longer to turn over than something like a Tern, which makes the timing easier to predict on a tight fairway. It rewards a bigger arm looking for maximum distance, but a slower arm gets an honest hyzer flip out of it too, so it works across a wide skill range without changing character.
