The Discraft Avenger SS in ESP FLX plastic is the same understable distance driver as the standard ESP release, but the FLX blend bends more in the hand and grips a little softer on release. That extra flex is the whole reason FLX runs get hunted down over the stiffer version.

FLX plastic is Discraft's bendier take on ESP, with the same tacky feel but a softer flex through the flight plate that helps with a clean snap on release. It holds up fine to normal wear, though it will not last quite as long as the stiffer standard ESP before it starts to feel worn out.

Thrown flat with speed it flips past flat and holds a long turnover line before fading gently at the very end, and with a big arm behind it, it will roll rather than fly straight. On a hyzer with less power it flips up to flat and finishes clean, which is the shot a newer backhand thrower needs to learn a good release angle. It is a natural first distance driver for anyone still building arm speed, and bigger arms use it for rollers and flex shots around obstacles off the tee.
