Prodigy FX-3 400
1
The Prodigy FX-3 400 is a stable control driver with a wider rim than most fairway drivers, which is where its extra glide comes from.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 4 / -1.5 / 2
400 is Prodigy's grippy, durable standard plastic, comfortable in the hand through a full round and tough enough for regular fairway play. It is the grade to start with on this mold before trying 500.
It holds an anhyzer line for a long stretch before fading, and it holds a hyzer line just as easily. With enough power behind it, the FX-3 will hyzer flip cleanly and finish with a dependable fade. One player puts it in the same workhorse 9 speed class as a Valkyrie, Undertaker, or CD2, and another calls it a great complement to the slower F series since it covers more distance at a similar stability.
Good for players of any skill level who want one reliable control driver for both backhand and forehand shots. It is not flashy, it is just consistent.
Want the same flight with a little more shine? Try the Prodigy FX-3 500 for a stiffer, glossier plastic. If you want a slower workhorse to pair with it, the Prodigy F3 400 fills the gap underneath. See the full FX-3 lineup.
